Thanks Again Nanaimo! Also... Sorry.

We've got a good news/bad news situation here. The good news is that Island Top Team hit our mid-year enrollment target just 9 weeks into the year. The bad news is that our new, larger training room inside the Nanaimo Athletic Club won't be ready for a few weeks, so we had to start a waiting list. In retrospect, it seems a little silly to not have anticipated that an area bereft of high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction would embrace our program so swiftly, but like the saying goes "the map is not the territory", so thanks again, Nanaimo, for making our predictions seem foolish :). Not only have we had an influx of students from the central Vancouver Island area, we have even had our first visiting student, from our affiliate Ontario Top Team, make the journey to BC to train with us for a few weeks, with more to follow in the future (and stay tuned for a post about our guest student program). Island Top Team's goal is to spread world class, cutting edge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and enhance people's lives in the process, alas, to do that, we have to maintain a standard of instruction that few academies are willing (or able) to adhere to. This means that, despite the popularity of our classes, we have to restrict access for the time being. Anyone is welcome to visit us for their free trial classes, and if they are a good fit, can reserve a spot on our waiting list. To make up for the inconvenience, anyone on the waiting list will eligible for our $99 Grand Re-opening Special. We apologize that this is necessary, but the alternative would be to compromise on the quality of tutelage we are able to offer, which is something we refuse to do, as we believe it is that, combined with the quality of our students, that makes Island Top Team the premier destination for grappling and Mixed Martial Arts instruction in Nanaimo (and beyond!).
